Reality, a new novelty shop geared towards counter-cultural communities, will open its doors in the Eastown community on June 22.
The shop, along with items like lazer pens, water bottles and beads for making jewelry, will be focusing on products that are handcrafted by local artists.
The owners, Casey Connolly and Kaylyn Gole have openings for more local artists to sell in their store. Those interested can contact them via email or by phone at (616)214-8742.
Until the store opening on June 22, the window display on Lake Drive will give those passing through the neighborhood a chance to get a glimpse of what will be on offer. While there, passersby are encouraged to keep an eye out for the store mascot, a chameleon named Smokey Taboo.
Store hours are Monday through Saturday, noon to midnight.
