WHAT: Please join the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation in the City of Grand Rapids on Saturday, August 15th, 2015 for the 1st Annual Michigan Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation’s WALK & Family Fun Day for Hydrocephalus Awareness!
The event is hosted by Grand Rapids resident’s Jon & Donna West, whose 4 year old daughter Willow has Hydrocephalus and has survived 12 brain surgeries. Willow will begin Preschool this year at Congress Elementary. Mom, Donna serves on the PTCC at Palmer Elementary. Willow gets her medical care at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, where Dr. Lawrence Foody is her Neurosurgeon.
WHERE: Riverside Park @ 2001 Monroe Avenue, Grand Rapids, MI ~ 11:00am with great live music, plenty of fun activities and our FIRST EVER WALK in Michigan for Hydrocephalus Awareness!

The Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation, an all-volunteer non-profit 501(c) (3) charitable organization, educates the community by raising the level of awareness about hydrocephalus and provides support to families, friends, and children affected by this brain condition.
The PHF also raises money for and works with the medical community in searching for a cure and additional treatment options for those with Hydrocephalus. Additionally, the PHF advocates on behalf of the members of the hydrocephalus community and works with policy makers at the state and federal levels to raise awareness and advocate for more research and support in the fight against hydrocephalus.
