A few questions remain in the aftermath of a late night altercation tonight in Heartside. The incident, which occurred sometime between 10 and 11pm, resulted in a pool of blood and an abandoned wheelchair outside of the Martineau Lofts and (106), Calvin College's downtown art facility at 106 S. Division. Some electronics were ripped from the wheelchair and a large pool of blood had collected some distance away, suggesting struggle.

While Grand Rapids Fire Department officials on the scene indicated that the victim was still alive, they were unable to confirm any arrests. An ambulance carrying one or more of the victims departed a little after 11pm, leaving the remaining officials to hose down the sidewalk and collect the wheelchair.
