Dates & times for Book and Media Swap

April 21 through April 24

West Leonard Branch:

10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Yankee Clipper Branch:

12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In honor of Earth Week, Grand Rapids Public Library will be having their Book and Media Swap, allowing people to trade in books, CDs, DVDs, audio books and video games for free.

Attendees can bring in items they no longer want and take something “new” home with them. The items must be in good condition before turning in.

The library has done this several times in the past during earth week, and believes providing an opportunity for the public to exchange each other's resources is important.

“The Book and Media Swap is a great way for people to share resources,” says Kristen Krueger-Corrado, communications manager of the Grand Rapids Public Library. “We also know that having books in the home is an important part of literacy. Studies show that the more books a child has in the home, the further they go in their education.”

The Book and Media Swap will happen April 21 through April 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the West Leonard Branch (1017 Leonard NW) and at the Yankee Clipper Branch (2025 Leonard NE) from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
