The public is invited to attend “Eat. Drink. Be Merry!”, on Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 6 - 9 p.m. This annual fundraising event hosted by Martha’s Vineyard benefits St. Cecilia Music Center. In past years, the fundraiser has brought 300+ people to participate in wine-tasting, food sampling and a silent auction on three floors of the historic SCMC building. After a two-year hiatus, due to Covid-19 restrictions in 2020 and 2021, “Eat. Drink. Be Merry!” is returning!
Executive / Artistic Director of St. Cecilia Music Center Cathy Holbrook says, “We are so happy to have ‘Eat. Drink. Be Merry!’ back again! As an important fundraiser for SCMC, we’re grateful to Martha’s Vineyard for standing by us during these difficult times, and now bringing back this wonderful event to help fund our music and educational programs. As a 501(C) 3 organization we depend on generous funding and donations.”
Eat. Drink. Be Merry! will include over 100 varietals of wines from around the world sold at Martha’s Vineyard. During the event, wine experts and vendors will present the wines and provide information. Hearty hors d’oeuvres will be served by Catering by Martha’s and Nantucket Baking Company. Musical entertainment and a silent auction will also be a part of the festivities. The silent auction will focus on food and wine items donated by local restaurants and other businesses.
All proceeds from the event benefit the programs of St. Cecilia Music Center, the longest running performing arts organization in the region. Since 1883, St. Cecilia has stayed true to its mission by presenting world-class musicians in a first-class hall, providing stellar instrumental music education for all ages, and preserving an historic venue for musical and community events.
