Local organizations like Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids Youth Commonwealth are happy to hear about this continued support. In collaboration with Action Donation Services (ADS), Boys & Girls Clubs is currently accepting used cars, boats, RVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles, etc. to help benefit the youth of Grand Rapids.
Boys & Girls Clubs has already received one donation in the new year and made a profit of $250, which will be used to provide meaningful academic and recreational programming for their Club members.
“Making a taxable donation is a great way to get rid of a vehicle that is either unwanted or that you are thinking about selling,” said Executive Director Pat Gunnin. “When it is resold, the money goes directly to benefit our Boys & Girls Club members.”
ADS makes the donation process easy. They evaluate each donation on a case by case basis and will repair, refurbish and properly prepare donated property to be sold at a higher value, increasing the amount of money donated to Boys & Girls Clubs as well as the tax credit received by donors.
In addition to the easy process and tax deduction benefits, ADS also offers a “partial cash payment” for qualified high value donations. This allows donors to contribute some of their sale to Boys & Girls Clubs while still making some profit for themselves. Many other competing car donation companies do not have this unique option.
