Comprenew Spring Volunteer Day!

This dispatch was added by one of our Nonprofit Neighbors. It does not represent the editorial voice of The Rapidian or Community Media Center.

Together we can make a difference. Join us on June 1st!

Are you looking for a fun way to give back to your community? Do you have an interest in technology or protecting the environment? Comprenew is inviting families to come dismantle electronics for recycling and learn more about the hazards of e-waste.

Each shift on Saturday, June 1 will begin with a short educational segment about the hazards of electronic waste and the importance of recycling. The rest of the time will be a hands-on experience dismantling desktop computers and other electronic devices.

Morning Shift: 8:00-12:00
Afternoon Shift: 12:00-4:00

629 Ionia Ave SW

The Rapidian, a program of the 501(c)3 nonprofit Community Media Center, relies on the community’s support to help cover the cost of training reporters and publishing content.

We need your help.

If each of our readers and content creators who values this community platform help support its creation and maintenance, The Rapidian can continue to educate and facilitate a conversation around issues for years to come.

Please support The Rapidian and make a contribution today.
