Host Linda Gellasch welcomed Second Ward Commissioner Ruth Kelly as a special guest for the GRTV monthly production of City Connection. City Connection is a chance for citizens to ask any and all questions about local government issues. The episode airs live at 5:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month, and is simulcast right here on The Rapidian.
Gellasch discussed the Plainfield Avenue water quality islands, newly formed North Quarter Community Improvement District, and Kelly's experience going with the fire department into two burning buildings to experience how new fire suppression methods work.
Gellasch also had a chance to discuss the recent news of County Prosecutor Bill Forsyth's suit against the city regarding the city charter amendment for decriminalization of marijuana that was passed by majority vote this election.
All are invited to add their own discussion questions to the hour's conversation. Questions can be sent to Kelly with a comment on this article, a Facebook comment or tweet to GRTV, an email, as well as a call in directly during the show.
