Community Media Center announces the kickoff event in the WYCE: Live at Wealthy Concert Series, featuring nationally-touring artists in fundraising concerts for local nonprofit organizations.
The inaugural event brings to town veteran Milwaukee-based rock band BoDeans on Wed., Oct. 16. Segments from the performance will be broadcast live on WYCE, and GRTV will be on-site to capture the concert for later broadcast and website content -- all this involving Community Media Center’s radio station, venue and television station.
This first concert benefits D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s, which has worked for125 years to provides services to children and families, through efforts that include foster care, adoption, and family support, as well as residential treatment and emergency shelter care.
In studio to highlight the work of D.A. Blodgett – St. John’s is Executive Director Sharon Loughridge.

And as a side note, for the Oct. 16 BoDeans show a portion of each ticket sold will be donated directly to the concert beneficiary -- D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s.
