Call for Artists - Michigan Photo Competition at Lowell Area Arts Council, September 13 - October 22 - $2,100 in Prizes

The Michigan Photo Competition is a statewide, juried photography exhibition showcasing the wide array of fine photographic talent found in all corners of our great state. All types and processes of photography are welcomed. In honor of this photographic excellence, $2,100 in prize money will be awarded with $1,000 going to the first place winner, $500 for second place, $300 for third, $200 for fourth, and $100 for fifth.

Guest Juror Dennis Grantz has a long history as an artist and art educator in Michigan. He teaches photography at the West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology (WMCAT) where he founded the photo program in 2005 and served as Director of Youth Arts. He is currently also an Adjunct Professor of Photography at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University. Dennis holds a Masters Degree in Photography from Central Michigan University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in painting and drawing. 
 
Eligibility:  Open to Michigan residents 18 years & older. Only original artwork completed within the past two years and not previously exhibited at the Lowell Area Arts Council will be eligible. The postmark deadline for images is July 8. For an application with complete entry deadlines and other information, see below.
