Art.Downtown. is a collection of local artists taking over downtown Grand Rapids for a one night only event. Visitors are invited to experience places they may not access on a regular basis as two trolleys provide transportation between 25 unique downtown businesses, galleries and studio spaces. With over 250 local artists and performers involved with the event, it is sure to be an exciting, dynamic evening. More information at http://www.artdowntowngr.com/
We are seeking volunteers who would be willing to welcome Art.Downtown. visitors, disseminate maps, direct visitors seeking directions and promote venues nearby. Volunteers will be assigned to a specific area near a trolley stop out and about in downtown Grand Rapids! Street Tour Guides will be important for empowering visitors, providing guidance and showing enthusiasm for venues near where they are assigned; the Guides will help improve visitor experiences at Art.Downtown.
There are shifts at the following times: 5:45-7:45pm and 7:45-9:45pm.
There is a Mandatory Volunteer training (pick up your talking points for the evening and get an overview of the event to empower you the night of the event) on Tuesday, April 5 6:30pm- 7:30pm at Dwelling Place (101 Sheldon Blvd, down the street from the UICA).
Volunteer Incentives:
If you are interested in being a street tour guide for the evening please email Annamarie Buller (volunteer coordinator [email protected]). Include your full name, cell phone number, email and t-shirt size.
