Grand Coney, one of Grand Rapids' only 24-hour restaurants, is easily accessible via The Rapid.

One of Grand Rapid’s only 24-hour local restaurants, Grand Coney, is irresistible.

For those unfamiliar with this local gem, Grand Coney has an American diner feel with Detroit-style coney hot dog dishes and other classic comfort foods. You will also find a relaxed atmosphere featuring fast and friendly service.

Here’s a few things we love about Grand Coney and know you will too:

1. Coney Dogs

Grand Coney has 10 varieties on the menu. Each dog features a little something extra to love and most are around $2.79.

2. Transit-Friendly Locale

One of Grand Coney’s best qualities is its transit-friendly location on Michigan Street, just steps away from the Route 13 and 19 lines on Michigan, as well as a short walk from Route 6.

3. Unique Menu Options

Whether you’re craving breakfast for dinner or looking to treat yourself to something decadent, Grand Coney has you covered. Their menu features things like the Mile High Meatloaf, Inside Out Biscuit Pot Pie and Frito Pie.

Billie, a Grand Coney waitress since 2005, recommends the Grand Coney Breakfast as a fan favorite, featuring three eggs cooked any style, choice of breakfast meat, hash browns, toast and a short stack of pancakes for just $9.49. Diners who arive before 9:00 a.m. on any weekday can get it for just $7.99!

4. Wallet-friendly Dining

Grand Rapids loves good deals. Nothing beats big plates of food at affordable prices. Grand Coney’s diverse menu doesn’t have a dish that’s more than $10.99. Be sure to check out the daily Grand Coney’s Early Bird Specials.

5. Cozy & Comfortable

If you’re seeking a place where regulars congregate, Grand Coney is the place for you. With TVs, a diner bar and cozy booths, this restaurant definitely offers a homey feeling.

Grand Coney also has locations in Allendale at 6101 Lake Michigan Drive and a new spot at 401 28th Street SE. Grand Coney’s 28th Street location is on Route 3 and 28.
