Story Matters: Amy Wilson works to connect the community with DITA's ArtPrize entry

October 2, 2013 7:13 pm

In SiTE:LAB, a performance group called Dance in the Annex (DITA) is up for a time-based award in the juror's categories.

The Rapidian's Nonprofits section features stories written directly by local nonprofits about their work. These stories reflect their perspectives, not The Rapidian's editorial voice.

We build community when we share our stories - whether they be a memory, an experience or just simply telling what we think is great about this place. While at various ArtPrize venues throughout the event, The Rapidian's Story Matters project asked several local citizens to share their stories. STORY MATTERS. is a story collecting project from The Rapidian and GRTV.

Amy Wilson, Creative Director for Dance In The Annex's time-based entry for ArtPrize called "Angle of Repose," sat down with us when we visited SiTE:LAB to talk about their work. Wilson describes their performance as "live art happening."
