INTERVIEW
On this edition of Catalyst Radio, we speak with Mary Dailey Brown, the president and CEO of SowHope, a local nonprofit working to aid impoverished women around the world. The name of organization with an international reach was inspired by a quote from Francis of Assisi, “Where there is despair, let me sow hope.”
Dailey Brown started SowHope in 2006 when, after traveling around the world for many years, she said she realized there weren’t any organizations dedicated solely to helping disadvantaged women. SowHope now operates in nine countries within Africa and Asia, helping women in three main areas: wellness, education and economic opportunities. To date, the organization reports having provided opportunities to more than 25,000 women.
