Songs from the Second Floor is a collection of the ephemeral performances that occur live on the air, in one take, on 88.1 WYCE. This video series is produced by GRTV in collaboration with WYCE and The Rapidian in order to capture and archive these rare moments.
The Rapidian's Nonprofits section features stories written directly by local nonprofits about their work. These stories reflect their perspectives, not The Rapidian's editorial voice.
Sean Hoots is a maker of music from the land of Philadelphia. He has spent many years on the road with his roots-rock band Hoots & Hellmouth, but for the moment he's giving it a go as a lone troubadour, a conjuror solitaire, a soul man working the root. If you're lucky enough to see him live, expect a spirited performance and a firm handshake. He is currently on tour with Flint-native Jeremy Quintin of Small Houses. They stopped by WYCE recently to plug their show at the DAAC... this is what happened.
Also check out Jeremy Quintin's half of this in-studio performance with Sean jumping in as well:
