Join us for a discussion on why the City of Grand Rapids chose to enter the path of Urban Renewal in the latter half of the 20th century. Our local history experts will examine the national trends as to why urban renewal was considered a benefit to the city, how the city decided what to eradicate and what to keep, who this plan might have benefited, and how it still affects us today.
