WYCE 88.1 FM is currently accepting donations of LPs, CDs and cassettes for its 9th Annual Record and CD Sale at the Eastown Street Fair on Saturday, September 10, 2016. Donations of music are able to be tax deductible and all proceeds of the sale will go to support WYCE. Any donations of LPs, CDs and cassettes are encouraged, regardless of artist or genre, as long as they're in good shape and in their original case.

“It’s gotten bigger and better with every year. All music is donated by our listeners and we are able to sell most of it for only $1. Last year we raised nearly $2,000 for WYCE! It’s such a fun event to be a part of and we truly enjoy digging through other people’s collections. If you bring your own bag/container to the sale, we have a special deal: with every five records you buy, you get one free. We will also have plenty of WYCE swag for sale. We look forward to seeing you there!” said Nicole LaRae Leach, Community Relations Coordinator at WYCE.

Quinn Mathews said it will be one of his first events out in the community as the new Station Manager at WYCE.

“Without a doubt, with WYCE being a part of the Grand Rapids Community Media Center, we’re excited at such a great chance to get out and meet the community and be with everyone,” said Mathews. “It’s a great preamble to our fund drive later in the fall and a way to show what WYCE is all about.”

Donations of music will be accepted Friday, August 5, 2016 through Thursday, September 8, 2016.

If interested in donating music, please drop it off at 711 Bridge Street on the second floor of the Bridge Street Library at the main offices of the Grand Rapids Community Media Center, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m..

The Eastown Street Fair is on Saturday, September 10, 2016 beginning at 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
