The 'Not Your Average Speaker' series returns to Wealthy Theatre this Thursday evening (February 24th) to discuss sustainable food systems and issues of hunger.  The event, presented by Rapid Growth Media, begins at 6:00pm.


"We're partnering with several organizations on this speaker series event to discuss the important issue of hunger and sustainable food system issues in the West Michigan area," wrote Rapid Growth on the event's webpage. "Thousands of families in the West Michigan [sic] struggle with hunger issues, particularly children. You'll hear from the organizations who are helping people through rough times, and boosting local economic activity." 


The panel for this event will include:

Liz Gensler - Kent County Essential Needs Task Force
Jennifer Gray - Access West Michigan
Bridget Clark Whitney - Kids Food Basket
Bruce Roller - United Church Outreach Ministry

Admission is free; doors and concessions open at 5:30. Adult beverages available to Community Media Center Members.
