Lend a hand at the Downtown Market

The recently inaugurated Downtown Market is seeking volunteers to help create a more welcoming and supportive experience for shoppers during business hours. Volunteers can sign up to greet and count people as they come into the market, assist vendors with setup or take down of their displays and even serve as "veggie valets,"helping shoppers carry groceries to their car. 

The outdoor market, now open since May 4, is located on 435 Ionia SW in the Heartside neighborhood and is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There are no age requirements to volunteer.
