The Museum of Everything in London is opening their Exhibit #4, featuring 50 artists from around the world, and they have chosen to feature two of our artists to be a part of this new exhibit.  We are excited to be representing Heartside, Grand Rapids, and the United States as a whole.

The Museum of Everything is Britain’s firstst and only museum dedicated to the untrained, unintentional and undiscovered artists of the modern world. Jarvis Cocker, David Byrne and Cindy Sherman are among the ranks who have placed their testimony to the Museum’s astonishing and important, growing collection.

Willie Jones is an artist at our studio, and he now has 25 pieces in the Museum’s permanent collection.  When asked about his recent induction into the museum, Willie says 'I feel like a superstar!’   Mark Wilson, who passed away in 2008, was another artist from our studio who now has 13 pieces in the Museum’s permanent collection. His sister and best friend, Sue Wilson, is thrilled to be carrying on Mark’s legacy in such a large venue and says she ‘can’t wait to get there to see Mark’s art!’

Even Raw Vision Magazine is taking notice:  we’ll be featured in the next issue!   Raw Vision is the world’s only international magazine of outsider art, art brut and contemporary folk art.

We have started a Kickstarter campaign to try and raise money to send Willie Jones, Sue Wilson and Sarah Scott, Heartside’s Art Coordinator, to see their work in London.  Willie will also be drawing live at the Museum, and plans are underway to show some of his work at The Frieze Art Fair, also happening while he is there in October. We are thrilled to have reached our original Kickstarter goal of $5000, which will cover tickets to and from London. To cover food and lodging, $1500 more is needed.  The Kickstarter campaign ends on July 22nd, so supporters are encouraged to take a look and pass the link on to their friends. We need the support of the community to help us be a part of the goal we’ve work so hard to reach!
