The relationship between a nonprofit and a foundation can be mutually beneficial; however, nonprofits struggle to understand the complicated world of foundations, how they give and how to effectively manage these relationships.

This interactive workshop led by Deborah Roberts-Hanshue will provide helpful insights into foundation grantmaking and teach nonprofits how to cultivate these relationships, how to identify grant opportunities, and how to think about foundation grants as merely one piece of a diverse portfolio of funding sources.

Key concepts will include:

  • How grants fit into your annual fund campaign
  • Basic tips for grant research
  • Making your organization grant ready
