City Connection: Mayor Bliss to be Joined by Kate Berens, Deputy City Manager

On Monday, November 7, Mayor Rosalynn Bliss will be in the GRTV studio for the November episode of City Connection. Mayor Bliss will be joined by Kate Berens, the Deputy City Manager. Starla McDermott, the Executive Director of the Grand Rapids Community Media Center, will be hosting the show. Possible discussion topics include:

• The upcoming November 7 election
• The upcoming SAFE Task Force Pitch & Highlight Night
• Odd-Even Parking Rules
• The opening of the Rosa Parks Circle ice rink
• The results of the PBGR vote
• Launch of the Urban Wood Utilization Program
• The Adopt-A-Drain program
• River Redevelopment
• Housing
• Grand Rapids Strategic Plan

For over 30 years, the mayors of Grand Rapids have hosted City Connection, a monthly, live call-in show on GRTV’s Livewire, Comcast channel 24. Mayor John Logie started the program in 1992 as a way to share mayoral perspective with Grand Rapidians and to bring a little more transparency to local government. City Connection is an opportunity to interact directly with one of our city’s top elected officials.
