Girls on the Run is national initiative which inspires "girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running." With over 2000 girls participating in Kent County, our region has one of the largest chapters in Michigan. Nika Kusmierz, the program coordinator for Kent County Girls on the Run, talks about their upcoming 5k and how their curriculum promotes empowerment and education to young girls in the local community.
