Terms of Agreement

By creating a user account on The Rapidian, I attest that I understand and agree to the following policies and guidelines:

I have not provided any false information to create this account. Only one account is permissible per person. Multiples will be deleted.

I understand that community members who submit content (text, photo, video or audio) remain the “owners of the content.” Submitting content indicates permission for the content to be displayed on the site and redistributed by others, according to Creative Commons licensing (must be unedited and proper credit given to the content creator). Such display or distribution does not constitute any ownership of the submitted content by The Rapidian, Community Media Center or any partners or sponsors. Content creators/owners are free to use their content freely, and without restriction in any other time/place and manner they wish.

I understand that advertorial content that has been commissioned and paid for by a third party (either cash or goods in barter) are not fit for publication on The Rapidian.

Upon submitting content for distribution via The Rapidian, all submitters attest to the fact that they have or have obtained ownership/rights/permissions necessary to legally distribute the content. Further, content submitters accept complete liability for their submission; fully attesting to the fact there is no illegal content and they alone are responsible for any claims to the contrary. I further understand that any information, comments, stories I post to this site will include my real name.

I understand, and agree to use this site within the spirit of the of The Rapidian values statement which include:

I will not post material or comments that are libelous, unsubstantiated, include hate speech or are considered personal attacks. Such content, if posted will be flagged and removed. Continued submissions containing such material may result sanctions up to and including cancellation of my user account.

I understand that content I submit may be rated by others. Such ratings may affect the placement of my content. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Rapidian, Community Media Center, its partners or sponsors in issues related to content I submit.
