Amber Jones explains how Family Futures helps build and support strong families

About NPO Showcase

NPO Showcase highlights nonprofit and government organizations that improve the quality of life in our city and throughout our community. The program is a feature of GRTV and the Community Media Center, with producer and host Julie Way. You can catch it on GRTV on Saturdays at 8 AM and 6 PM and can view past episodes on the Grand Rapids Community Media Center website. If your nonprofit would like to be interviewed on NPO Showcase, please contact Julie Way.

INTERVIEW

This new segment of NPO Showcase features Family Futures, an organization that provides resources to parents to help them make their families strong.

Family Futures provides support to parents and families through programs such as Connections, Healthy Start, and RAVE. These programs are designed to meet each family's needs and provides a place for new parents to ask questions, to ensure that their child is on track developmentally, and to connect them with other resources that they may need. Amber Jones, Advancement Officer for Family Futures, joins us in studio to discuss these programs and how building strong families also builds a strong community.

The Rapidian, a program of the 501(c)3 nonprofit Community Media Center, relies on the community’s support to help cover the cost of training reporters and publishing content.

We need your help.

If each of our readers and content creators who values this community platform help support its creation and maintenance, The Rapidian can continue to educate and facilitate a conversation around issues for years to come.

Please support The Rapidian and make a contribution today.
