In this week’s segment of GRTV’s NPO Showcase Raquel Owens, Site Director from Justice For Our Neighbors West Michigan, discusses some of the options for our community's immigrant and refugee population.
With the site headquarters located in Grand Rapids, and clinics in Holland, Kalamazoo, and Traverse City, JFON is able to provide resources to communities over a large geographical footprint. New clients are accepted by appointment, and have access to legal counsel, help retaining or maintaining a visa, assistance with naturalization or status changes, application for asylum, immigrant court representation, and a number of other services.
JFON also partners with area organizations such as The Grand Rapids Pride Center, Bethany Christian Services, Thrive and more to ensure all community members have access to the resources they need. JFON has a number of volunteer opportunities for community members including clinic intake, translation services, form preparation and more.
Check back next Wednesday for a new segment of GRTV’s NPO Showcase, featuring Wellspring Lutheran Services.
