Ganders, located in the DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport, which was formerly known as Spinnaker and was given a new look and menu in May 2015, will be offering a special beer pairing dinner at this weekend's Grand Rapids International Wine, Beer & Food Festival at DeVos Place.
“About 85% of our menu items are from Michigan,” says Bill Read, Executive Chef. “We change our menu seasonally. The Grand Rapids Wine, Beer & Food Festival gives us the chance to have fun and create out of the box.”
The menu was created as a collaboration between Read and Chas Thompson, Beer Engineer at Schmohz Brewing.
“The beer is selected first,” said Thompson. “Then Bill gets creative and we work out how the flavors will go together.”
