WYCE Hat Trick Concert Series to benefit Healthy Homes Coalition of West Michigan wsg David Wax Museum!

Healthy Homes Coalition of West Michigan has been selected as recipient for this fall's WYCE Hat Trick Concert Series! 

ALL Hat Trick Shows are FREE and begin at 7:30pm, with a recommended minimum donation of $10 to the night's charity, Healthy Homes Coalition. We hope you are able to come out and support us this evening, and hear some great music! 

WYCE and The Law Firm of Rhoades McKee are pleased to welcome David Wax Museum to this fall's Hat Trick Series!

Recently anointed as Boston’s Americana Artist of the Year (2010 Boston Music Awards), the David Wax Museum has been called “pure, irresistible joy” (Bob Boilen,NPR) and hailed by TIME.com for its “virtuosic musical skill and virtuous harmonies.”

Monies raised at this event will go to support Healthy Homes Coalition's ongoing efforts to improve children's health and well being by eliminating harmful housing conditions. 

While Healthy Homes Coalition directly serves over 150 low-income families with young children a year through visual home assessments for hazards in the home that can be harmful to children, we also further our mission through education and outreach, as well as advocacy and policy impact. 

The Healthy Homes Coalition knows it literally "takes a village" to raise a healthy child. It is estimated that 41,000 out of 72,000 housing units in the City active lead hazards; 6,600 are estimated to have active lead hazards and are occupied by young children at risk. 
Lead poisoning in children can cause life long learning disabilities and brain damage, barriers to success for the future of children in our community.
