WEST MICHIGAN’S FIRST XFINITY STORE TO HOST CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY AND GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION

9 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.


·         *Former Red Wings’ Forward Tomas Holmstrom will attend and sign autographs*

·         *Interactive Store features 3D TV viewing, Self-service kiosks and opportunity to experience Xfinity products and services    first hand*

WHAT: Comcast will host a special reception, ribbon-cutting and customer appreciation event to announce the grand opening of its new Xfinity Store in Grand Rapids. The 3,100 square-foot center, the first Xfinity Store in West Michigan, is designed entirely around the needs of customers and provides consumers with an opportunity to explore, learn about, and interact directly with the latest Xfinity products and services.

The day will feature product demonstrations, special giveaways and raffle prizes that include gift baskets from NBC Universal, HBO and Turner Networks

WHO:               Michigan State Senator Dave Hildenbrand - 29th District

                        Commissioner Elias Lumpkins, Jr. -  3rd Ward, City of Grand Rapids

                        Mark Allen, Sr. Director Membership Development - Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce

                        Dignitaries from the community and Comcast leadership

                        Free Hot Dogs and cookies served -  12 – 2 p.m.

                        WSNX (104.5) will be broadcasting live on location – 12 – 2 p.m.

                                                Former Detroit Red Wing Tomas  Holmstrom  – 5-7 p.m.

                        WLHT (95.7) will be broadcasting live on location – 5 – 7 p.m.
