The Grand Rapids Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) invites you to a performance of That Takes Ovaries!, a collection of real-life stories from women and girls about the gutsy, outrageous, courageous things they have done.
Some monologues being performed were written by Grand Rapids residents ; others are from the book, That Takes Ovaries, edited by Rivka Solomon. This book started as a compilation of stories and quickly grew into an open mike movement, inspiring women and men worldwide to take pride in their brave acts.
Everyone is invited to this event, and all are encouraged to share their own brazen adventures during the open mike following the performance. Men are also welcome to share stories about the bold "ovaries" in their lives. Parents should be advised that graphic language may be used.

Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for general public. All proceeds will benefit Grand Rapids National Organization for Women and the non-profit organization, That Takes Ovaries!
Tickets will be sold on site and can be purchased through NOW GR, fundraising@nowgr.org
