If there is any darling in the digital-experimental journalism field right now, Oakland Local would be donning that crown. Susan Mernit, OL's publisher, is pulling into Grand Rapids for a day.

  • We'll hear more about our friends in the Bay
  • We'll get a sense of where The Rapidian fits on a national scale in the hyperlocal, civic media movement

Most importantly, it'll be a chance to relax, mingle and chat with the rest of the Rapidian community. Enough with the digital banter, let's get to know the faces behind the bylines and comments!
