Noon, but get here early to grab food
Grand Central Market
57 Monroe Center NW
Grand Rapids MI 49503
I scream, you scream (it had to be said)! Join us for some ice cream and quality conversation with Ian Storey.
Ian will be facilitating a discussion, and possible topics include:
- What falls under the citizen journalism umbrella?
- How does CJ fit into the context of professional journalism?
- How has the parameters of business affected journalism, and what would happen if CJ were fit into a business model?
GCM has fantastic sandwiches as well as ice cream, gelato and sorbetto for purchase. If you want food, make sure to get to the market at least 15 minutes beforehand because it gets busy. **Discussion will start at noon sharp.**
Ian is currently a Ph. D. candidate at Colorado State University examining citizen journalism and political economy. He has taught college journalism and reported for many Michigan papers, including The Advance, The Monroe Evening News, The Grand Rapids Press and The Traverse City Record Eagle.
