As one of the departments of the Community Media Center, The Rapidian contributes to the culture of empowering the community by giving residents of West Michigan a forum to share their voice by covering local issues and events. Anyone is able to submit content using a free Rapidian account and will have their work professionally edited and published. The Rapidian offers free community journalism workshops several times a year, with an upcoming workshop on October 10th.
