What do you think is driving the reported increase in violent episodes in the past month in GR?

Early poll responses are saying jobs and the economy...but I hear today on BBC, that Spain has unemployent of over 26% right now. And the hardest hit are young adults. Kent County is under 6% unemployment, and GR proper a bit over 7%. Yet the US has a per capita "murder by gun" rate that is 14 times that of Spain. When I see that...I feel it's just got to be something other than the economy and jobs.
