LINC Community Revitalization will host another First Friday event at the gallery on Friday, September 5 from 5:30 - 10 p.m.

There will be live music by Yolonda Lavender and food from the LINC UP Soul Food Cafe.

Ryan Dale Solo, a multi media artist who has been featured at Heartside Gallery, on the side of the Verne Barry Place building and as an ArtPrize contender will be exhibiting his artwork.

"The pieces in 'Remember' seek to depict how the forgotten, imaginative experiences of childhood leave an indelible impression on all of us. The fantastical adventures our minds take as children are directly reminiscent of day to day adult life: feeling small in a big world, facing and conquering our demons, and finding the light in all the dark places," explains Solo in an artist statement from his Facebook event page.

First Fridays at LINC is an initiative that seeks to foster community engagement and facilitate networking opportunities for those in and around the Madison Square neighborhood. The event is free to attend and all are welcome.

The LINC Gallery is located at 341 Hall Street SE.
