As a Tier I Charity Partner for the third year, Paws With A Cause is participating in the 37th Annual Fifth Third River Bank Run on Saturday, May 10, 2014.
Paws With A Cause is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to enhance the independence and quality of life for people with disabilities nationally through custom-trained Assistance Dogs. It’s headquarters are based in Wayland, MI and it provides services in 30 states with more than 2,500 Assistance Dog teams placed throughout the country.
Last year, PAWS® had nearly 200 participants who ran, walked, or rolled for Team PAWS and raised more than $11,000! All proceeds were used to further the mission of training Assistance Dogs for people with disabilities. This year, PAWS would like to raise even more and needs your help! PAWS is currently recruiting runners, walkers, rollers, volunteers, and fundraisers to help further the mission of training Assistance Dogs for people with disabilities. Friends can participate in any of the Fifth Third Bank Run events, volunteer on behalf of PAWS, or just participate in fundraising for the event!
The custom fundraising platform, DonorDrive, is easy to use and to share with friends and family via social media. Once you have set up your page you can also add in pictures, content, and embed a video. As extra incentive to run, walk, roll, or fundraise for PAWS, the first three (3) people to set up their personal fundraising campaign for PAWS will receive FREE entry to the Fifth Third River Bank Run! PAWS will contact you to give you your entry code, which will be used for registration on the Fifth Third website.
The Fifth Third River Bank Run features the largest 25K road race in the country and more than 21,000 people are expected to participate in race day events in 2014. The events include a 5K Run (staggered start), 10K (staggered start), 25K Handcycle, 25K Wheelchair, 25K, and 5K Walk.
