A day-long event made up of six programs exploring various aspects of Grand Rapids history. Presented by area historians and members of historical and cultural organizations, topics are varied and reflect the unique heritage of West Michigan. Topics include Rescued from the Attic: A 1918 Grand Rapids Treasure Trove; Merze Tate DECLASSIFIED; Uncovering Ray: From House History to the Discovery of a Legendary Cartoonist; The Ku Klux Klan in 1920s Grand Rapids; Collective Biography: The Reward of Prosopography; and Invaluable Services: Special Scouts in the Civil War. All events are free and open to the public.
