DeVos Place

Grand Rapids MI 49503
For the 6th year in a row, over 140 antique and vintage dealers, repair services, buyers and appraisers will gather at DeVos Place on January 7 & 8 to exhibit furniture, jewelry, clothing, housewares and more at the Grand Rapids Antiques Market show.
“We are excited to be able to add several new events this year, from on-site buyers and appraisals to on-site repair, record swap, live auction, estate jewelry and gold buyers, fishing tackle consultation and a vintage fashion show,” said event coordinator, Cecily Near of Grand Events LLC. “Over the years, we have noticed a growing interest from a younger demographic in all things retro or vintage. The record swap, vintage jewelry and furniture is a big hit with the college crowd along with new homeowners.”
The antique market will take place Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The market will showcase the latest home and fashion trends in vintage and antique goods with a focus on eclectic styles that incorporate richer and bolder muted colors, textures, layers and items from around the world. Free furniture delivery will be offered by PakMail.
“When you think about upscale interior design, antiques and fine art are naturally the first items that come to mind. Antiques have an undeniable ability to add personality and character to the décor of any home. Because of their uniqueness many people opt to incorporate antiques into their living spaces. Whether it is something handed down through generations or found at an antique show many homeowners make “antiquing” a hobby in order to add personal flair to their homes,” said Near.
Other notable event highlights include:
- Schmidt’s Antiques will be accepting antique consignments for Sunday’s live auction. Fre auction evaluations will take place all day Saturday.
- Haig’s of Rochester Fine Jewelry & Asian Antiques will display art and antiques from all corners of the world. Owner Paul Haig is a regular on HGTV’s Cash and Cari.
- Noted Michigan magazine writer, Terry McBurney will offer free appraisals on fishing lures, reels, rods, minnow buckets and glass minnow traps.
- Siegel Jewelers will be buying estate jewelry and gold, while also offering antique jewelry repairs and restoration.
