Heritage Hausmusik perform the middle movement of Beethoven's "Quartet in A Minor Opus 132" aka "Song of Thanksgiving"

According to Wikipedia:
Beethoven wrote this piece after recovering from a serious illness which he had feared was fatal because he had been afflicted with intestinal disorder during the entire winter of 1824-5. He thus headed the movement with the words, "Heiliger Dankgesang eines Genesenen an die Gottheit, in der lydischen Tonart" (Holy song of thanksgiving of a convalescent to the Deity, in the Lydian Mode).

Songs from the Second Floor is a collection of the ephemeral performances that occur live on the air, in one take, on 88.1 WYCE. This video series is produced by GRTV in collaboration with WYCE and The Rapidian in order to capture and archive these rare moments.
