This April, the Friday Night Conversations focus on poetry:

April 1:
Featured Poets: Readings in Cook Auditorium
Join Greg Bliss and other local poets for an engaging, entertaining poetry reading.

April 8:
Poetry on Demand
Pick up your Poetry on Demand card in the lobby, present it to poets stationed in the galleries, and listen to poetry inspired by works of art on view at GRAM.

April 15:
Nature and Haiku: Your Turn
Learn how to craft your own haiku from Grand Rapids' first Poet Laureate, Linda Nemec-Foster, during a brief 15-minute presentation. Afterward, head upstairs, talk to members of the Audubon Club stationed in the galleries near Audubon's works of art, and gain inspiration for your own poetry.

April 22:
The Music of Poetry by Prof. Sean Prentiss, GVSU
Join Sean Prentiss as he reads poetry, and listen to members of The Crane Wives transform famous poems into songs. Afterward, they will discuss where and how music and poetry overlap.

April 29:
Poetry in Bloom: Words Inspired by Flowers
View a variety of floral and nature-inspired poetry on display through the Art Museum, coinciding with GRAM's special event, Art in Bloom.
