Critical Mass is a cyclist's rights awareness ride that takes place on the last Friday of every month in cities all over the world. Let's bring it back to Grand Rapids! Bikes are traffic too. As such, deserve rights to the road and respect from fellow travelers.
If we are hassled on the ride, simply respond, emphatically, "Happy Friday!" Being rude will only increase the driver's road-rage and, ultimately, hurt our cause--safety for cyclist.
This ride will be in honor of fellow rider, Larry Martin, who died recently after being struck by a car ( http://is.gd/070ZiN ). Please come out and show support for all our fallen riders and for all of us still peddling.
Meet us at 5 PM in Rosa Parks Circle.
Hit the streets at 5:30.
Signs, H20, slogans, chants, tall-bikes, recumbents, boom boxes, cruisers and fixies, etc.
