In this lively panel discussion, WGVU's Shelley Irwin, Mlive's Tanda Gmiter, crisis management expert Dr. Curt Bechler and other local journalists will discuss how media coverage of a disaster can change public perception and even the way the disaster is handled. The panelists will also talk about how social media has changed the way breaking news is covered and how disaster is covered in West Michigan, such as the 2014 Grand River flood.
