Every month on the first Monday, Mayor Heartwell is open to all questions sent in during his live on-air show "City Connection."

This month, the mayor has given the seat to City Commissioner Senita Lenear, so that she could answer questions from local citizens in her turn as a special guest on this monthly opportunity. The Rapidian's Place Matters Content Coordinator Eric Tank asked Commissioner Lenear how she stays connected to her constituents, and how she would like to see local citizens get involved in city policy work. At Monday night at 5:00 p.m. Lenear answered this and other citizen concerns.

You can add your own questions each month by calling in, emailingtweeting or just posting a question in the comments section at the bottom of this page.

The show is aired on the first Monday of each month on GRTV, Channel 24 on Comcast, as well as live-streaming right here on The Rapidian.

For 18 years, the mayors of Grand Rapids have hosted City Connection, a monthly, live call-in show on GRTV’s Livewire, Comcast channel 24.  Mayor John Logie started the program in 1992 as a way to share mayoral perspective with Grand Rapidians and to bring a little more transparency to local government. City Connection is an opportunity to interact directly with one of our city’s top elected officials.
