INTERVIEW

This episode of Catalyst Radio features the nonprofit Pets For Vets – the program that provides a second chance for shelter and other pets by rescuing, training and pairing them with veterans who could benefit from a companion animal.

Pets For Vets is the beneficiary for tonight’s WYCE @ Wealthy Theatre concert with The Bad Plus.

Lori Vorpi, West Michigan Director for Pets For Vets, is in studio to talk about the organization’s work to pair the animals with veterans for companionship and emotional support. The program’s aim is to help both the pet and the vet who have been through traumatic events in their lives, so that together they can help each other heal.

Vorpi will also talk about how several veterans will be on hand at tonight’s concert, with their pets, and they will share some of their healing experiences that come from the mutual care with their pets.

MUSIC

Music from The Bad Plus is sampled in this episode of Catalyst Radio. Again, The Bad Plus is performing tonight in the WYCE @ Wealthy Theatre Concert, which is benefitting Pets for Vets.

The song is ”Everywhere You Turn” from the disk These Are The Vistas.
