The Rapidian is always accepting donations.
As a way to say thank you, we offer the following goodies:
$25 donation: Rapidian reusable bag
$50 donation: Rapidian logo-embossed notebook
$75 donation: Rapidian t-shirt
Attendees to the Night Out will receive a special discount on the regular thank you gifts, so be sure to ask your Rapidian representative about donor levels that night!
We'd like 20% of your beer. And Brewery Vivant, faithful supporters of The Rapidian that they are, have agreed to give us just that on Sunday, January 13.
From 4-8 p.m. that day, 20% of beverage sales will be given right back to supporting The Rapidian.
In our third "Night Out for The Rapidian," the community is encouraged to join us in supporting The Rapidian by going out and supporting your local microbrew and restaurant Brewery Vivant, located at 925 Cherry Street SE.
This time, we'll also be making the event a celebration of our intern and volunteer contributors. So be sure to show up and find out who we're honoring for their extensive contribution to the Rapidian this past quarter!
Rapidian staff will also be available to take donations. Donors will receive Rapidian swag like reusable bags, reporter notebooks and t-shirts as a way of saying thank you for your donation-and a way for you to show off your Rapidian love! In fact, on that night we'll have all of thank-you gifts at special reduced donation levels, so whether you're at the event or unable to attend, be sure to take advantage of the chance to show us some Rapidian love and supporting us by donating online.
The Rapidian, a proud service of the Community Media Center, was started thanks to generous grants from the Knight Foundation and our local Grand Rapids Community Foundation.
Now that those grants are completed, we need your help to keep The Rapidian going. The Rapidian provides a platform for all voices in Grand Rapids, sharing local news, information and perspectives by empowering anyone in the community to become a citizen journalist.
Citizen journalists are provided with tools, training and individual mentors to help them along the way-and in return they provide us with all sorts of stories about what is going on in our community.
