Our featured artist for August is EJ.  Here is a little about the artist, in his own words:

‘Obsessed with infinity, I pose the question, ‘what is the box?’, pertaining to the limitations of the arts.  I believe in an open interpretation individually based on the idea that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  Imagine what it could be, immerse yourself in the emotion of colors and take it wherever the path leads you.

I think about my sounds like this-- music is how emotions sound, and it caters to all of those emotions.  My work is a mix:  it’s nutritional and healthy, and it’s mixed with a party.’

The Artists of Heartside Gallery and Studio is a monthly feature to highlight some of the wonderful people of the Heartside neighborhood.  Visit www.heartside.org , Facebook and our Flickr page to keep up with us, to learn about volunteering and other ways to get involved.
