From its origins in 1886 as a training college for Dominican sisters who taught at Catholic schools throughout Michigan, through its transformation into a two-year and then a four-year institution, Aquinas College has been carrying its mission forward utilizing its founding values of prayer, study, service and community. In words and pictures, author Gary Eberle, Professor of English, tells the story of the school that is now the only Catholic college on the western side of Michigan. Free and open to the public.
