Antje Dukevot - "Sleepy Sea of Indigo and Blue"

This dispatch was added by one of our Nonprofit Neighbors. It does not represent the editorial voice of The Rapidian or Community Media Center.

Songs from the Second Floor is a collection of the ephemeral performances that occur live on the air, in one take, on 88.1 WYCE. This video series is produced by GRTV in collaboration with WYCE and The Rapidian in order to capture and archive these rare moments.

Released from the SFSF archives, here is a performance during WYCE's 2012 Fall Fund Drive Party by Antje Dukevot giving us a single off her new album.

"New Siberia is a special album to me because the songs are wiser," says songwriter Antje Dukevot. "They have an age to them that should resonate with anyone who's struggled through a difficult period and come out better. There's something really sweet in being able to look back on a journey like that, from a darker, younger self to a better, older place."

WYCE will also soon be hosting a similar night - their "Piece-a-Party" potluck/open-house/fundraiser on Thursday June 27th. Click the link for more info, not to be missed.
